Common Questions
Do I need an app?
No app. Ever. Anyone's phone reads it instantly — no install, no scan, no friction. What you do get is the Signal Control Terminal: your personal command centre where you switch modes, track taps, lock the tag remotely, and update what it shares — all from a browser, any device, any time. The tag is the signal. The control centre is what you do with it.
What if I lose it?
Open your dashboard and hit "Lock Tag." Your information is hidden instantly until you unlock it. You can also lock it without logging in by confirming your email — useful if you don't have access to your phone.
Can I change what it does later?
Yes — anytime, as many times as you want. Switch from Instagram to WiFi to vCard to a custom URL. The keychain itself never changes; we just update what your dashboard tells the chip to do.
Is it secure? Can someone copy my tag?
The NTAG216 chip has a hardware scan counter built in. If anyone tries to clone your tag, the counter will mismatch and your dashboard flags it. Plus your email is never visible to scanners.
What data do you collect?
Only what you put in (your email and what you want the tag to do). No tracking, no analytics shared with third parties, no selling. Servers are in the EU. You can delete everything from your dashboard at any time.
How long does the chip last?
The NTAG216 is rated for 10+ years of data retention and 100,000 write cycles. Realistically, the keychain will outlive whatever you bought it for.
