2. Processing: If you're using PORTRAIT ENGINE or AI text-to-image, the AI processes your photo on our GPU infrastructure and generates the transformed design. The original photo and the generated output are stored temporarily for your session.
3. Order: When you place an order, the final design file is sent to our printing queue. Only the print-ready file is used — not your original upload.
4. Printing & Quality Check: A human handles the physical print and performs a visual quality check on the printed case. This is the only point where a person interacts with your design — and only as a printed product, not as a digital file on screen.
5. Auto-Delete: Within 72 hours of upload, your original photo, any AI-generated variants, and all session data are automatically purged from our servers. This is not a manual process. It's automated. No human decides whether to keep or delete your photo — the system does it on its own.

Humans Only Touch Your Photo for Printing and Quality

Your photo is handled by a person at exactly two points — and only two:

1. Printing: A team member loads your final design file into the UV printer to produce the case. They see the image only as part of the print job.
2. Quality check: After printing, the same team member inspects the finished case for color accuracy, alignment, and defects.

That's it. No one is browsing customer uploads for fun. No one is archiving your photos in a folder. The only reason a human sees your image is to make sure it's printed correctly on your case. Once the case passes quality check and ships, the digital file follows the same 72-hour auto-delete as every other upload.

Why 72 Hours — Not Instantly?

Fair question. The 72-hour window exists for two practical reasons:

• Session continuity: If you're designing a case and close your browser, you might come back within a day or two. The temporary storage ensures your design is still available if you return to complete your order.
• Print queue processing: Orders enter a print queue that processes in batches. The 72-hour window ensures the print file remains available until the case is physically printed and quality-checked.

After 72 hours, it's gone. Not archived. Not moved to cold storage. Not backed up. Deleted.

What We Don't Do

To be absolutely clear:

• We don't train AI on your photos. Your uploads are never fed into model training. Our AI models are trained on licensed datasets — not customer photos.
• We don't use third-party printing services. All production is done in-house — your design never leaves our production pipeline.
• We don't keep backups of your images. When the auto-delete runs, your data is removed from all storage — primary and backup.
• We don't build profiles from your uploads. No facial recognition databases, no image fingerprinting, no behavioral tracking based on what you upload.
• We don't require an account. You can design and order a case as a guest. No account means no persistent profile tied to your photo history.

• No permanent storage. Generated images are delivered via temporary links that will also self-destruct with the same 72 hours. After that, the output no longer exists on their servers.
• Short-term retention for safety. Under standard API terms, inputs may be retained for up to 30 days solely for abuse monitoring — such as scanning for illegal content. This is an industry-standard safety measure, not data harvesting.
• No public exposure. Your uploaded photos and generated images are never made publicly accessible. They exist only within the encrypted API pipeline between RoboPixel and the AI provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I request my photo be deleted before 72 hours?

Yes. Contact us at any time and we'll manually trigger immediate deletion. But in most cases, the auto-delete will handle it before you even think to ask.

What if I need to reorder the same design?

After 72 hours, your original upload is gone. If you want to reorder, you'll need to upload the photo again and regenerate the design. We don't keep archives of past orders' source images.

Does the AI remember my face after processing?

No. The AI processes your photo in a single session. It doesn't store facial data, create embeddings, or build any persistent representation of your likeness. Once processing is complete, the AI has no memory of your image.

Where exactly are the EU servers located?

Our processing infrastructure runs on EU-based cloud servers within the European Economic Area. Data never leaves EU jurisdiction at any point in the pipeline.

Does the AI provider keep my photo?

Our AI provider may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for safety monitoring under their standard terms.
